Lee Winkler
Wink on the way to his 9.3 this morning in round three

Mark Occhilupo
The picture tells it all - an elated Occy after winning his heat over Paulo Moura
in the dying seconds of their exchange.

Paulo Moura
Paulo defeat - shattered (!) - but that's
life on tour, taking the good with the bad.

Corey Lopez
Corey getting into one of those forehand off-the-tops cutting the chop that
he reckoned was more difficult for the goofies than the pigdoggers. The
natural footers would tend to disagree with that call!

Dean Morrison
Dingo gives his Fijian cheer squad thanks and the thumbs up as his boat
speeds past the ferry and Quiky Pro 'mother ship'. He had just got by
fellow-Aussie Phil Macdonald.

Victor Ribas
Victor Ribas was one of the Brasileiro standouts today in round three,
taking out his compatriot Peterson Rosa. The sponsor-less goofy has had a
good event to date.

Andy Irons
Tom Carroll was probably pretty stoked with starting with a high seven, on
the opening hooter, in his heat against Andy Irons, but then Andy threw a 10
in his face...and kept on slapping. Thomas Victor Carroll was the freak of
the 80's, but Philip Andrew Irons is proving himself the freak of the new
millenium!

Tim Curran
Oxnard's Tim Curran got more tunnel time today than a Taliban desert rat, or
maybe than a 'rooter' as they call them in the US of A. The quiet character
is hopefully on the way to his best result in a long time after a mungrel
run the past few years.

Fijian
Wonder what race this Fijian is supporting? All fuzzy-haired workers on
Namotu have honorary Aussie citizenship.
